To write comparison essay, which is simple to follow, decide what similarities are by writing the lists on any scrap paper. Whether similarities are important? Plan and discuss less significant first, which is followed by more significant. It is easier to discuss similarities, however you can do it in a very good way.

After that to organize your essay, select one of plans that are described below whichever fits your list. Lastly, and this is very important, what main point you make in essay about two people or things getting compared? Don’t start writing unless you have point that similarities you would like to use and help to prove. Your view must help to shape rest of what you are saying: Example, in case you see that your similarities is unrelated to point, then throw it out & then think of one, which is related. Otherwise revise your point and make sure this point is clearly or prominently expressed in the essay.

Use Plan A in case you have small similarities and after the introduction, say whatever you wish to say about first work and character, and after that go on in second half of essay and say everything about second work and character, comparing every item in second with same item in first. In this set up, all comparing, except for statement of your point that you might want to put in beginning, goes on in SECOND HALF of piece.

Use Plan B in case you have some, larger similarities and after your introduction, in next paragraph discuss your one similarity in works and characters. After that move on in next paragraph to second similarity, then third, and so on, until you are done. If you do similarities, juggle them on your scrap paper so in every part you will put less important first, followed by more important. In this set up, comparing goes on in every  middle part.

In point by point or else alternating arrangement you must mention one feature about object A and after that write about same aspect relation to the object B. For example if you are talking about cost of the accommodation in Europe, then you should immediately discuss cost of the accommodation in Asia Pacific. In this arrangement you may have introductory paragraph and then you will need paragraph discussing about the comparable attribute in Europe and of Asia Pacific; the accommodation prices for example. Then in next paragraph you can discuss next attribute like climate.

Both the arrangements of compare essays have their benefits and their disadvantages however point-by-point gives reader a scope to weigh competing attributes rather than remembering all aspects of a single object and comparing them with attributes of other who follow in succeeding paragraph.
